Lavender Sussex - Pullets (Pick Up Only - 10% Deposit with balance paid Cash on Pickup)
*** 2 Minimum on all orders due to welfare reasons*****
Our lovely young pullets, aged 8 to 10 weeks, are now ready for their new homes. They’ve been raised with plenty of care in clean, comfortable housing and are now fully feathered and off heat. These girls are healthy, active, and well on their way to becoming great little layers.
Vaccinated for Marek’s Disease & Coccidiosis
At this age, they’re still growing and developing, so we recommend keeping them separate from your main flock until around 15 weeks old. Giving them their own space helps them gain confidence and size before being introduced to older hens. When they’re ready, introductions will go much more smoothly with less stress for everyone involved.
All pullets are currently on an unmedicated pullet grower feed, which provides the right balance of nutrients for their age. I personally recommend Lauke and Open Range feeds — both are excellent quality. Please make sure the feed you use is unmedicated, as all pullets are vaccinated for coccidiosis and don’t need any extra medication in their diet.
Although these pullets no longer need heat, they should still be introduced gradually to outdoor conditions. A dry, draft-free, and well-sheltered coop will help them adjust comfortably and continue to grow well. They’ll thrive best in a clean, safe environment with plenty of fresh air and room to move around.
When coming to collect your birds, please bring suitable crates or boxes so they can travel safely and comfortably. This helps keep them calm and protects them during the trip home.
